The Fissure of Woe: What's it all about?
Looking at the game updates page, it's fairly obvious that the Fissure of Woe was far from complete when the game shipped; all the quests were added later, and there are still people standing around doing nothing (Adriral thingy, the Hero at the Temple of War, that random L2 ranger), and some weird places (the 2nd tower by the wurms)
There seems to be a story going on in the fissure (Menzies and the Shadow army) but nothing is resolved or esxplained in any detail, and after finishing all the quests, nothing happens.
I've finished the fissure a good few dozen times, and it's quite dissapointing when a great team end up just wandering around a bit and then leaving one by one as they realise there's nothing left.
I'd really love to see the fissure expanded in terms of content, it needs a showdown with Menzies and his shadow army; gather a hundred of them on the skeleton desert and have them rush at the temple, the ghosts there could rush down and help, and some chaos could errupt.
The place really needs closure, and nothing says closure like a last boss or battle. Almost all the missions in the game have a climax; they end with big a fight or task, but the Fissure, one of the hardest areas in the game, has nothing.
The same could be said of the underworld, really, but there's no ongoing story to that, so I'll leave it. I'd like a last boss there too though
